This is an annual event at our Lexington, North Carolina office. It was started in 1999 as a way for us to raise money for United Way of Davidson County. In the past
the monies that we have raised have been matched dollar for dollar by Williams. This event was for the first couple of years devoted to cars and trucks. Then we added motorcycles to the event and in 2005 we are
working on adding tractors to our show. This is not only an event for cars, trucks, motorocycles and tractor, but a day that you can come out as a family and have some fun. You can have fun and at the same
time you can make a difference in the lives of others. There is something for everyone. We have silent bid tables setup, games for the kids, cake walk, hay ride, etc. We have a DJ (Music this year will be
Chuck's DJ & Karaoke Show - Gary Chuck Nance), to bring things to life with music. In the years in the past we have had a "WALL OF FAME" (autographed pictures of actresses, actors, race car drivers and sports
individuals) up for silent bids. In the past we have had some live auction items. Since 2002, H.A.R.T. Foundation (Hobbs Animal Rescue Team) has been a part of our show. They have puppies and dogs
on site that are available for adoption. They are not always able to bring dogs and puppies and with the health of the rescue operator, they are sometimes not able to be here, but they always do their best to be
here. Some years have started out with rough weather, storms, etc., but nothing has dampened the show. As it as been said, "The Show Must Go On". We are a team at Williams and come rain or shine we
will work together to make sure that the show goes on. There are hours, days and months that go into making our show a success, but without the help of individuals like you it would not be a success. Once one
show ends, another show begins for us (at least the planning for another show). It takes the help of everyone to make it all come together on show day. It is a time that everyone can come together and make a
difference in many lives. Will you help us to make this year a success? |
